Do you have the strongest team on the Isle of Man?

Story

The volunteer crew of Port St Mary RNLI are entering a team called Lines Under Load : Visors Down! into the inaugural RNLI All-island Beach Tug of War and we’re looking for you to sponsor us!

We will be one of 16 teams who will take part in a knockout competition to see who is the strongest.

The event is taking place on Sunday 8th August from 3pm on Chapel Beach Port St Mary. It will be a fun filled family day, with a variety of stalls including face painting and bouncy castles for kids, as well as food and drink stalls.

Your sponsorship and support will help to motivate our team in their endeavour, as well as helping us raise vital funds for the RNLI.

The RNLI is entirely funded by donations, and of course over the last year due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, the amount of donations received has fallen dramatically, due to not being able to hold the many fundraising events across the Isle of Man & British Isles. Yet throughout it all your local volunteer RNLI crew have remained on-call 24/7. We are therefore delighted to be able to hold and support this fundraising event, to ensure our crews are equipped with all of the training and equipment they need in order to continue Saving Lives At Sea.

Thank you for the taking the time to visit this JustGiving page and for supporting Port St Mary RNLI, and we look forward to seeing you at the event where you can cheer us on!!

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
