Those who know me (H) will know that every so often I have an 'idea'.  The latest idea is to ride on my bike from the RNLI lifeboat station in Portishead to Poole, the HQ of the RNLI, a total of yep you've got it, 109ish miles over 2 days (I'm no professional cyclist).

I have been thinking about it for a couple of years and since turning the big 5..0h I thought it would give me a target to get fit again (or try at least) with NO EXCUSES, whilst raising money for my charity I and my fellow volunteers give so many hours to.

It never ceases to amaze me when the crew volunteers go out in all kinds of weather to help those in trouble on, in or by the water.  They are selfless, dependable, trustworthy and very courageous.....(they will all hate me saying that).

So I mentioned the planned ride to my family and a few friends and guess what, those that can are coming with me.  I cannot thank them all enough for supporting me and this event and I hope you can find just a small donation to show your support to them and the RNLI volunteers.  

The RNLI depend on their fundraising to help them #SaveLivesAtSea, so please give what you can in aid of the Portishead Lifeboat Station, we will be so so grateful...
