Help save lives at sea this Christmas by donating to Crew, Volunteers and Staff who are walking, running and cycling between Kent's 9 RNLI Lifeboat Stations on the 3rd of December.

Story

Please support us when on 3 December the RNLI Kent Reindeer
Relay is taking place to raise funds in the cause of saving lives at sea. Crew, volunteers and staff will be walking, running and cycling  between Kent’s nine lifeboat stations. Two of our volunteer crewmembers from Margate Keith Patrick and David Pike (both of whom featured in a recent episode of Saving Lives at Sea on BBC2) will be cycling the whole route from Gravesend to Dungeness and
Sarah Hewes, volunteer Lead with the Thanet RNLI Fundraising Group will be part walking and part using public transport on the Margate to Walmer (via Ramsgate) legs to highlight how our disabled volunteers cope with supporting the RNLI. It will involve a huge effort by a lot of people and you can help support them!

In 2021, the RNLI launched nearly 9,000 times, coming to the aid of nearly 13,000 people, saving 296 lives. This vital service is funded purely by public donations and needs your support now as much as ever before.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
