The Bulldogs will hold their second Bryan Bees Memorial Walk on Sunday, 30 July with the Clubs members tackling Pen-Y-Fan once again to raise funds for Tenovus Cancer Care – Ton Pentres charity partners.

Bryan Bees was an inspirational and energetic man. As Chairman of Ton Pentre AFC he led the club with enthusiasm and invigorated all around him.

Over many years he also contributed greatly to the Rhondda Football League and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wales. A huge number of Rhondda residents knew and respected Bryan, an even larger number owe him a debt of gratitude for the opportunities that his tireless work gave them.

Following his sad passing in November 2015 the supporters, players and management team of Ton Pentre AFC were unanimous in wanting to create a permanent memorial in recognition of his lifetime contribution. As he was a man who rarely stood still we felt an active and ongoing memorial would be a fitting way to remember our friend. This will also mean that Bryan’s legacy will continue to give back to the local community that he himself gave so much towards.

The 30 July 2017 will be the second annual Bryan Bees Memorial Walk, in support of Ton Pentre AFC’s charity partner, Tenovus Cancer Care. In future years, this event is planned to continue taking place on the final weekend of July.

Members of Ton Pentre AFC will tackle Pen-Y-Fan – the highest peak in South Wales. Meeting at the carpark at 7.00am, anyone is welcome to join us on the walk.
