I am swimming 10km down the River Dart on September 3rd. It is a personal challenge on a grand scale but whilst doing this, I am raising money for Level Water, who do great work by teaching children with disabilities the life changing benefits of learning to swim. 

Disabled charities have always been close to my heart after the death of my brother many years ago. He had been a keen swimmer but became severely paralysed after an accident and showed enormous courage in trying to overcome his disabilities. This one is for you John.

10km seems to me like a very long way to swim but if I can raise £1000 then each km will help provide 6 lessons for disabled children. Hopefully that thought will help keep me going.
