Story

My Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be attempting to run the Brighton Marathon on April 2nd 2023 to raise awareness for Postpartum Psychosis and to raise money for APP.

I know from experience how Postpartum Psychosis affects mums and families and how important APP's work is in helping their recovery.

Any donations, no matter how small would be very much appreciated!

This will be my first marathon - wish me luck!

Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP)
Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP) is a UK charity. They do amazing work to help make sure mums, parents and families are supported through Postpartum Psychosis – a severe, but treatable, form of mental illness that occurs after having a baby and affects 1,400 new mums in the UK each year. Some of the amazing work that APP do includes:

  • Offer information and peer support to women and families
  • Facilitate ground breaking research into the condition
  • Provide training to healthcare organisations
  • Raise awareness
  • Campaign for improved services

Their life changing peer support network helps women and families affected by Postpartum Psychosis feel understood, supported and less isolated.
