Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·
Hi
I've gone a bit mad and decided that 2019 would be the year I became a "runner"...fair weather runner most of the time but nonetheless, I run now.
It started with a 3k at lunch and I thought I was dying. 3k became 5k which became what I thought was 8k (it wasn't) until I did my first 10k in March. I've never been more proud or tired from an achievement in my life.
Anyway, me and my running buddy Sophie have decided to go the extra 7 or so miles and run a half marathon for Diabetes UK.
As you may not know, I live with this guy called Type 1 diabetes. He can be a proper pain in the pancreas sometimes but Diabetes UK are doing some incredible things to make sure that my life and others like me can be a little bit easier from pioneering research to life saving support.
To make this happen they need donations from awesome people like you, sponsoring otherwise lazy guys like me, to do something that we wouldn't think we can do.
So, if you can, please donate what you can and cheer us on at the Royal Parks Half.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
