Story
Thanks for coming to my Just Giving Page.
As some of you may be aware my Dad, Kevin Thomas, suffered a stroke in January 2017. Over the past 2 years family and friends have all been able to watch my Dad embark upon his fantastic route to recovery with a tremendous attitude towards this massive challenge to bring normality back to his life. On the road to recovery my Dad has been lucky enough to have my Mum at his beckon call to provide him with the help, support and hard work he has required.
Unfortunately, my Mother is not currently a registered Charity in England & Wales. Instead, I will be raising money and awareness for another association who have helped with my Dad and many others through similar difficult times. Stroke Association are the UK’s leading charity dedicated to conquering stroke delivering stroke services across the UK, campaigning for better stroke care, investing in research and fundraising to expand their reach to as many stroke survivors as possible.
In order to raise money for this fantastic cause I will be taking part in this year’s Carten 100 event on 27 April 2019. I will be cycling over 100 miles from Cardiff to Tenby Harbour with the main goal to help raise money for stroke association who help with families and individuals every day to try and make their lives feel normal again. There are over 100,000 strokes recorded each year in the U.K. and your donations can help raise the funds they need to provide information, support and advice to help stroke survivors to make the best recovery they can. I would also like to give a big thanks to JMD Law Solicitors for their sponsorship.
If you want to know more about both the event or the Stroke Association please see below the two links to the website. All donations really are greatly appreciated and I thank you for your support.
Anyway, thanks for visiting my page, it seems I had better get training on that bike!
Regards,
Rob Thomas
