As a non profit, the 1st Cromer Sea Scouts need the support of donations to continue our efforts to prepare young people with skills for life. Recent fundraising efforts have been used to help finance camping equipment, air rifles and kayaks. As well as essential maintenance on our headquarters.

Story

Some of you may be aware that last year I started volunteering for my local scout group.

Since starting doing this I've realised 2 things.

1st - The scouts is a very unique organisation that creates huge value in the life of young people - giving them amazing experiences like kayaking, shooting, team building, camping, absailing, caving, hiking, fire building - and they do this consistantly every week.

2nd - The subs that parents pay every term just about covers the insurance, with a little left over for petty cash. That means when it comes to maintaining the headquarter, buying camping or canoning equipment, or subsidising activities - funding has to come from other sources.

That's why I'm taking on this half marrathon challenge to raise funds for the 1st Cromer Scout Group.

Just Giving announced last week that they are scrapping their 5% administration charge - so I can guarantee that 100% of your donation will go directly to helping the scouts.
