Last year the STV Children's Appeal raised over £2.5m. That's £13.7m since we launched the Appeal in 2011. This money was invested in charitable projects across Scotland that are undertaking exceptional work to support Scotland's most vulnerable children.

Last year I cycled 400 miles from Inverness to Edinburgh. In 2017, I want to exceed this achievement to ensure we make a lasting difference to the lives of children in Scotland who are affected by poverty.

In September, I will cycle 500 miles in six days from Ayr to Inverness via Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen and Banff.
