Story

Rob & Jon cycle the length of France for MacRide

UPDATE : 29 September 2008 - we're back after 890 miles (we rode slowly home from Stratford station but couldn't squeeze in the extra 10 miles)

Rob, the MacRide organiser, isn't able to ride  the MacRide* - he's always too busy directing entrants into the car park on the day!

So, he and Jon are going on a special Continental MacRide starting a few days after MacRide 2008 in September . . . the plan is to cross the Channel using le Shuttle through the tunnel (yes you can do it with a bike) and then ride via Champagne, Burgundy, Beaujolais and Languedoc (get the idea here?) to Montpellier in the South-west of France.  It'll be about 900 miles.

Rob & Jon are, of course, meeting all the costs themselves but plan to try and raise money for MacRide by sponsorships and donations - so please help us to help more people with cancer.

Every penny raised will go to MacRide, helping Macmillan

Rob & Jon

* MacRide is an annual cycle ride at Stratford-upon-Avon that has raised, so far, over £40,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
It's on 7 September this year - all the details are at www.macride.org.uk
