Great Manchester Run Half Marathon 2019 · 19 May 2019 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

It's been a few years since my running heyday where attempting to finish the Great North Run ahead of the 'Real' Rob Dunn was my main concern...but after a bit of a break it's time to raise a few quid for charity again by running a half marathon.

Myself and three fellow @BingleyStriders* will take on the Great Manchester Run on May 19th, myself raising money for Alzheimer's Society - a charity close to my heart. I'd be dead grateful if you could spare a couple of quid to donate to such a totally beauty and deserving cause. Every pound will be gratefully received and might even make me run that little faster (I'm now a dad of two and permanently exhausted so there are no guarantees).

You can donate here, or for the traditionalists amongst you I've got a paper form you can use to donate too - just shout up.

Thanks all in advance for the support.

*YES we're in our 30s and YES we've invented our own running club and YES we should probably grow up and NO it's not in any way affiliated with who we claim, especially 'official sponsors' Red Stripe, Yorkshire Tea and Peking City chinese takeaway. Anyway, you'll find us on Twitter @BingleyStriders
