Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Sponsor page for the Cardiff Half Marathon.

Over this summer my Granddad was diagnosed with Stomach cancer and because of his age the doctors have decided that any form of treatment currently available is too risky, so I'm running to donate to Cancer Research UK as well as the personal achievement.

The Cardiff Half Marathon is on the 18th of October 2009 and is 13.5miles long...before the summer I hadn't done any form of training since High School (about 5 years) so the first few miles of training were a bit of a struggle but I'm now up to 11.5miles and very much looking forward to the run. I'm running in a group of varying abilities, some who have run Marathons and naming no names, some who's work out is lifting a pint (me included).

Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small. If you are thinking of coming to Cardiff to cheer us all on, then please consider how much you will spend on travel and donate that instead, as much as I would love to see some familiar faces, the money would mean so much more to the charity.
