Hi there -

Firstly, thanks for showing interest in what I and about 36 other riders are doing. In late August we all ride from Southampton to Rome over the Alps, a group of amateur cyclists who would like to do their bit to support funding for Cancer Research in the one way we know - on two wheels.

I have done this before, not to Rome but to Venice and from one end of Italy to Sicily so I know how tough it can be at times but fun at other times, however, this is the longest at nearly 1200 miles and will no doubt test everything I have but if I can help make a difference into the research and resolution of cancer which has affected most of us in some way or form then it is a small sacrifice I will make.
