We fund support, screening & research to help those affected by YSCD

Story

This year I turn as old as there are Church of England Cathedrals (in England), accordingly it seemed like a good idea to try to cycle between them all.  Whilst I already own a road bike I am relatively new to cycling, so covering 1908 miles is going to be hard work.

I will be covering the route in seven different sections, starting in May 2023 and finishing in early October.  When cycling I aim to cover around 90 miles a day to fit this challenge in around an already busy life.

I have lost two brothers now to heart issues, and also my best friend.  Knowing the impact that a loss of life from a heart condition places on  surviving members shows the importance of a charity like CRY and the support they provide not only to bereaved families, but also with vitally important screening and research.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk

If you are able to donate to support this important charity I would be grateful, I will post regular updates here as I take on this challenge
