For the last six years, all three of my children have learnt to swim using New Earswick pool and I'd like to use my first marathon as an opportunity to give something back to the Friends of New Earswick Pool charity.

The Friends of New Earswick Pool are a charity (registered charity number 1188111)  currently looking to raise 10k as part of a project to buy new equipment for their plant room (the plant room housing all the machinery which keeps the pool water warm and safe). 

I started running regularly about 4 years ago and each year I've gradually increased my targets from 10k, to half marathon and now to full marathon. I find running helps my mental health and having a goal adds to that personal motivation.

Any donation is greatly appreciated and will personally help me in my head during the run during those moments when I hit the wall and think about stopping. Thank you in advance,
