Story
UPDATE: Yes I did it! I completed the bike ride on Wednesday 17th August 2011 riding the full length of the Forth & Clyde Canal, a total of 36 miles. My legs are really sore!
The weather was kind to us with only a little rain throughout the day.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported me and made donations either through this site or off line. It was a really big motivator for me to complete the ride. Thank you so much.
A big thankyou also to Mum, Dad, Gran, Aunty Debbie, Cerys and Zack who were my support team on the day.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am 10 and I am planning to undertake a bike ride in August 2011 in memory of my Grandfather (Papa) Robert Forbes who died from lung disease.
I am planning to ride the the full length of the Forth & Clyde Canal in Scotland a total distance of approximately 36 miles in one go. The Forth & Clyde Canal was my grandfathers favourite bike ride and he took a great interest in it's restoration over the last 15 years including the installation of the awesome Falkirk Wheel.
My dad supported my Grandfather when he rode the same route for charity a few years ago (when my dad was fit!) and I thought it would be a really good way to remember my Grandfather.
The charity I am doing the bike ride for is one that was very supportive to my grandfather over his last years and I would really like to raise as much for them as possible. They are the British Lung Foundation, Scotland & NI.
I have been training for the last year but this is still going to be a big big challenge for me as I am only 10. I am determined to complete it though and I do hope you will support me.
