Hi my name is robert,happy,stovie,bob Halliday. or as anything else you know me by.

i am asking for your help in raising funds for my local radio station as they are a volunteer based community station and the service they provide is essential to the people of rothesay and beyond.

it is not only the information that they provide e.g ferry information,travel and local information, it is also the only contact some of our elderly community have at times.

i understand that you might feel that there are other more important charities that need your donations. well anyone who knows me, knows that over the past few years i have raised a lot of money for the high profile charities. so, this time i am asking you to dig deep for my personal choice of charity. i have witnessed first hand the work that these guys do and it is very humbling indeed. i would also like to stress nobody from the station has asked me to do this. they are a very proud bunch of people and they deserve our help.

i will be attempting to walk 2018km during 2018.

i started walking on the 1st jan 2018 at victoria harbour in greenock when you were all nursing a hangover. i thought it was quite appropriate as this is where my father used to sit and have his lunch when he worked in Barr`s foundry across the road. it means that if i walk 5.6km a day during 2018 i should in theory finish on 31st dec.

i will keep you informed of my progress as i pass through the 100 km levels. as of 21st feb 2018 i have walked 422km.
