Story
So in their wisdom, Richard, Laura, and Rob from Trail Tuesday Running Club have decided to bring out the ‘Big Guns’ and run the Calderdale Way on Saturday 27th June.
The full length of the route is 51.39 miles, with a total climb of approx
2,600 metres (over 9,000 feet) at a climb rate of 43 metres per mile.
This makes a flat equivalent distance of 57.49 miles!!!!
Of course, such a punishing challenge warrants our friends and family digging deep to support a local charity.
Overgate Hospice may seem an obvious choice, but for good reason. Overgate Hospice has been at the heart of the Calderdale community for over 35 years and is there to help people with life-limiting illnesses. Their aim is to try and improve the quality of life for their patients and help them to live life to the full, to the very end. They do this by offering specialist palliative care, comfort, and support, free of charge, to patients and their families. They are an independent charity, based in Elland, Halifax, and rely heavily on funding from our local community to ensure our care is available for future generations.
Many thanks in advance for your donations and messages of support 😊
