Year 7 of 10

Edinburgh Marathon Festival Full Marathon 2018 · 27 May 2018 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So as some of you may know. I either organise my own charity challenge every year or i take part in an organised event. This is year 7 out of targeted 10.
I am running the edinburgh marathon for Health in Mind. Mental health is real folks, i have first hand experience of this. Without going too much into it i have been on prescribed antideppressants for nearly 5 years, Fluoxitine. However since the turn of the year i began running. Running alot. I can now say running has saved my life.
I am off all medication. Wahoo!!!! As of last week i have been taken off my "happy pills". The weight has finally been lifted. Honestly, anyone who is reading this who may be in the same situation trust me, the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train coming it is hope, it is faith, it is finally understanding who you are it is understanding what is going on, it is being able to smile an honest smile not a smile for people to think you are ok, the light is fresh air, the light is the next chapter of your life.
Sports direct shops for whatever reason were a huge trigger for me, i couldnt go near one. I had an episode in the one in glenrothes and struggled ever since however 2 weeks ago in i went, wife and son with me all the way and happily out the other side i went. The photo of my fund raising profile is me leaving the shop with a smile on my face.
You know what if you have taken the time to read this and gained a glimmer of hope then every grueling, sweaty, sore achy mile do will be worth every second. The money raised is to help the charity get people to the light at the end of thr tunnel safetly.
Smile you are beautiful.
