Brighton Marathon 2010 · 18 April 2010 ·

Have a Heart is proud to announce its new name: Make Some Noise – we will help disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Thanks to your support, we have grown over the years and we will continue to help those affected by illness, disability, bereavement or lack of opportunity.

Story

Thank you for visiting my page, on the 18th April 2010 - I shall be competing in the 1st ever Brighton Marathon! that's right, 26.2 miles of agongy and pain await. Now people out there who have never done a marathon before (or can't even imagine running that far) will be asking WHY? oh WHY? the answer is quite simple.

MONEY!

Not for me but for disadvantaged children in and around the South East. I am running the marathon to raise funds for Have a Heart, they are a charity set up by Heart radio and help make a difference to the "lives of local kids, those who are vulnerable, face adversity, suffer from illness or are deprived of the childhood that every child deserves".

I hope you will join me in donating some money to this very worthwhile cause. For every football match I referee from now until the marathon I shall donate £10 from my match fee to Have a Heart - this will be donated on justgiving.com - please also remember if you are a UK tax payer to giftaid your donation. It will be much better spent by Have a Heart then Alistair Darling!!

Thank you
