For those who don't know the details of what I do for a living, for over ten years, I have worked in social care with a large percentage of that time with vulnerable children and young adults.

The stories and pasts of some of the children that I have had the pleasure of working with really hit home when you hear some of the trauma that they have been through. The resilience that these children show is unbelievable as they progress through their lives is frankly something to marvel at. 

My current position managing a children's home puts me in the driving seat of providing an outstanding level of care and creating positive experience to support and care for some of the most vulnerable children in Suffolk. 

This brings me to why I have opted to raise money for the Chidren's society. The work that they do really pushes to support young people facing difficulties and offers hope to those who need it the most. 

This is something that I am very passionate about as well as running so running the TCS London Marathon for such a great charity seems to be a match made in heaven.

I have set myself a massive target of £2000 to raise some much needed funds for an amazing cause so any donations will be greatly appreciated.
