Story
All Chiefs & Little Chiefs,
Just recently we all lost an absolute legend in our lifetimes called Rob Gale, also known to many chiefs as 'Star'. No words can do justice to the man and how much he meant to us all. Total legend.
In memory of him we are going to hold a full pitch game at The City Ground, Nottingham - the home of global football as well as two European Cups. In his memory we are going to create two teams, one managed by Stunt Man and one by myself. Everybody is invited to play and we encourage as many of you as possible to pull out your boots, find some shin pads and come and play for Rob/Star.
His boys are captains for the day and they expect a fine game.
We get the whole pitch for 90 minutes, we get to sit in the dug outs, get changed in the actual changing rooms, park at the ground and make as many subs as we like. We have a ref and linesmen. We are trying to get it live on the BBC but we will see...
Timings are:
12:30pm: Player & crowd arrival
1:00: Little chiefs play on the pitch
1:30: 1st Half KICK OFF
2:15pm: Little chiefs play on the pitch
2:30pm: 2nd Half KICK OFF
3:15pm: FULL TIME
4pm: STADIUM CLOSE AND MOVE TO The Larwood for FOOD/BEER and post match analysis
Chiefs, please pass this to everybody and make sure they have the chance to play for Rob/Star. Get as many to turn up as possible, bring cakes and things that make for better footballers. And if you can please donate and give to the Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust, something rob/Star loved. All the money you give will help them get more young people into the performing arts. Very typical of Rob/Star to believe in something like this and we can all help them do their magic in his name.
Pass it on.
