Tour de Wales 2020 · 11 September 2020 ·

Acorns supports more than 800 children and over 1,100 families every year. The charity needs to raise £14 million each year to provide its care services across hospices and community settings. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable.

Story

Having not learnt my lesson on the Tour of Wales last year, on 31st March I will be attempting to become a Knight of Sufferandia (https://thesufferfest.com/pages/knights-of-sufferlandria). This means I will need to do 10 intervals sessions on my trainer with 10 minutes break between each session. These sessions are hard training sessions, so doing 10 on-the-trot is going to be horrible! Depending on how fast I go, I expect to cover 130-150 virtual miles over about 10 hours.

If the weather is good I will make the attempt in a courtyard at work. If it's terrible I will do it in my shed. Either way I will have a hangout going and post updates to Strava as each session ends.

As with the Tour of Wales, money raised will go to Acorns.

Oh, and 31st March is my 50th birthday (so at least I'll remember it).
