My name is Robin Bellamy.

I will be volunteering with Raleigh International in Costa Rica in October 2018.

Before I leave, I am trying to raise money for Raleigh International’s work bringing young people together to make a difference in some of the poorest communities around the world.

As part of my fundraising, I am walking the 192-mile Coast to Coast path from Robin Hood’s Bay to St. Bees. This should be a tough challenge, but, it should also prepare me for my time in South America.

Raleigh International is a charity that works in partnership with local communities to make a much needed difference to people's lives, supporting their efforts to improve their standard of living. The charity helps in enabling communities to access basic services such as water, sanitation, education and energy, using renewable resources. As a volunteer, I hope to make a real difference to the lives of the people in the communities I will be visiting. Of course, I will also benefit from this experience too – it should be a once-in-a-lifetime trip!
