Due to my work over the years I have been subjected to sustained trauma which had contributed to my MH deterioration. However through receiving assistance from various agencies and specifically charities such as Veterans Growth they have provided me with support, by participating in their programme, meeting and working alongside the amazing people behind Veterans Growth. I have seen and felt the results first hand - I want to give something back to them and so will be completing the TCS virtual London marathon on 2nd October 2022 - 26 miles to fundraise for Veterans Growth with only 6 weeks training........

Veterans’ Growth works with veterans suffering with mental health issues, providing treatment and support using social and therapeutic horticulture. The physical and mental health benefits of horticulture have been widely reported. Participants gain confidence, knowledge and experience and some will go on to find work experience and employment within the industry. We are committed to supporting every veteran in the UK who wants to attend and/or is unable to access help through other channels.
