Story
The ride is back on
In memory of my father and because of the amazing help and care St Peters Hospice provided to me and my family for David Harrison, from the 13th -16th of July this year a team of us will be taking on the challenge of riding from Thornbury to Paris via Dover. The challenge will be to complete a 400mile bike ride in 4 days to raise money for St Peters Hospice and we will finish up at the Eifel tower. The team includes myself, Liam, joe, Dylan, Neil, Jim, Barny, Ryan and our support driver Mavis. Our target is to raise £8,000.00 for this fantastic charity..
During the sudden diagnosis of my fathers stage 4 Kidney cancer last September St Peters Hospice provided care and support to me and my family during what was a very difficult time in the last few weeks of David's life. They did an amazing job in making him as comfortable as they could along with providing all the support the family needed.
Some members of the team have also had the support of St Peters Hospice for their families during very similar difficult times and this is our way of saying thankyou for the amazing work they do. its truly astonishing
St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Their commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. All of their care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money they rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and our shops.
pleas donate and help us reach our target
