All of you who have been so generous in contributing to my appeal will get a thank you email, but in the meantime - I did it! It was very tough, but a wonderful experience.

As well as completing the marathon, I have gone through my fundraising target and, including the additional contribution from Gordon and Alistair, I am now up to well over £65,000. This is, of course, due to a huge number of people's extraordinary generosity. I feel truly humbled by the response of friends to my appeal and it is this that kept me going, despite an injury that left me virtually lame for about 6 crucial weeks.

Please do not let the fact that I have gone through the target put you off making a contribution - ever penny will help CaF with its great work.
