Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·
Both Will and myself are running Royal Parks Half, wearing backpack banners, red tutus and red sequin hats, for Spinal Research because we believe in the vital research they do. We're also running in memory of Dan James.
About Dan James
In 2007 Will's best mate and housemate at Loughborough Uni suffered a life changing injury whilst playing rugby and broke his neck. A year later, he travelled to Switzerland and took his own life at a Dignitas clinic. A once in a lifetime type person, Dan was loyal, hysterical, fiercely competitive at everything and a great friend to all his mates.
We know people ask for a lot in this day and age, can we ask that you read the article written below by Brian Moore (ex England rugby player) and if you have a spare £2.50 please donate. It is a wonderful charity that means a lot to my friends and I.

About Spinal Research
Spinal Research is the UKs leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop effective treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury.
Every year 1,000 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord.
Spinal Research raises money to fund research into clinical treatments, as well as vital scientific research such as clinical tools to better understand the injury caused, and for the devastating effects on daily living such as breathing, hand movement, and bladder and bowel control. Thanks to the innovative research we have funded, many experimental treatments, including those to restore movement and feeling, have had positive effects on spinal cord injury in the research laboratory.
We are determined to see these treatments transferred to the clinic, transforming the lives of paralysed people.
