Story

Rob Rowan was a great guy who loved Brentford football club

As technical director, he was instrumental in setting up the Brentford B team, signing and developing a number of key players including Chris Mepham, Zain Westbrook, Marcus Forss and Josh DaSilva

Rob was very sadly taken from us in late 2018 at the age of only 28. He suffered from a rare heart condition. His death shook Brentford football club to the bone.

But what has continued after Rob's untimely death is his legacy. The players he nurtured have gone on to  be a success either at Griffin Park. Or have moved on to clubs as diverse as Dortmund, Liverpool, Wycombe Wanderers and Waterford

Then in the 2020/21 season, some the players who Rob developed played an integral part in getting Brentford to Premier League - winning the playoff final against Swansea.

Beesotted are committed to raising money for the Cardiac Arrest in the Young charity - an organisation that aims to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families

Previous Beesotted charity events have raised in excess of £1500 for CRY. However, the cause is ongoing. So we felt it was only fitting to set up a Beesotted charity page dedicated to Rob

Rob was Brentford through and through. We has a top top bloke and we all miss him greatly

And however successful Brentford become over the next few years, us Brentford fans will never forget that Rob was a big big BIG part of that
