Story
That's right, I am going to be running 5km every day in March 😳 a total of 155km over 31 days.
I will be coupling this with the potentially even bigger challenge of having no takeaways or booze in March too. Perhaps I should've chosen February to do this...
And the reason I'm doing this to my poor body is not because I enjoy running (I don't, unless I'm chasing some form of ball) but because I want to raise money for Blood Cancer UK to help them with their fight in beating blood cancer for good!
As some of you may know, my amazing Mum has been living with blood cancer for the last 6 years and has been battling through chemotherapy since June 2020 - starting right in the middle of lockdown.
Her strength to go through this treatment with the added difficulty of a global pandemic, has been truly incredible and inspiring and I cannot describe how unbelievably proud of her I am. As a result, I want to give back to the organisations that continue to help her and who fund research into blood cancer cures and treatments.
That's where I need your help! Every donation, big or small will be greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference to people's lives in the fight to beat Blood Cancer.
Please help me reach £3,000 in donations as I pound the pavements of south east London. You'll be able to follow my progress on Strava where you can send messages of encouragement or abuse if I'm going too slow.
Because it's time to beat blood cancer!
Thank You!
