Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
In November 2006 I was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with a tumour of the pituitary gland. I had a successful operation to remove the tumour but later tests showed that it was a very rare type of cancer. This meant that in May I had to have six weeks of radiotherapy treatment. In the meantime my wife Jane had given birth to our beautiful baby daughter, Emily.
After (hopefully) successful treatment and becoming a dad, my family and I want to ‘give something back’ by organising this fundraising event for Cancer Research UK.
The event took place on November 17th and was a great success, we have raised over £3000 in total.
You can still sponsor me or donate. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
We would also like to remember family, friends and colleagues who have had recent and or successful treatment, including: Pam Shaw, Sue Goodwin, Angela Matthews, and Irene Lodge.
And those for who treatment sadly was not successful including: Chris Watts, June Clarkson, Philip Jamieson, Stuart Wray, Mark Groom.
Many thanks for your support.
