It's been 3 years since my last epic journey through the Amazon and quite why I'm doing it again beggars belief.

Absolutely THE hardest challenge I think a person can undertake but each gruelling day is worth it if the SERV Wessex can remain operational (let's face it, none of us know when we'll need emergency blood).

Six Marathons in Five consecutive days, lugging 13Kg of kit through virgin Amazon jungle, swamps, rivers, etc is pretty insignificant compared to what the Blood Runner Volunteers do 24/7 365.
