I am running a half marathon on mother's day with my sisters and friends, to raise money for the charity Target Ovarian Cancer, in memory of my beautiful mum, who we miss so so much. 

Most of you know, we lost our mum to ovarian cancer last August. Ovarian cancer is a silent killer, and for my mum, as with most women, the diagnosis came too late. Over four years the disease took her health and then her life. While the doctors did what they could, it was often hard to know if it was the cancer or the treatment that caused the most suffering. More research into earlier diagnosis and better treatment for ovarian cancer is needed to better protect women in the future.

The training has been sporadic and I'm yet to run more than 5 miles, so please support my limp around the 13+ miles in Hyde Park on the 22nd of March. All donations, small and large, will be greatly appreciated.
