Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Your support is still needed as the work continues to raise money for this spectacular building. Our latest project is to raise £240,000 for immediate repairs to a Bath stone pinnacle (pictured above) above the Cathedral library. From a casual glance at ground level, there is nothing obviously wrong with the stonework, but the Cathedral architect has identified this structure as being at risk of imminent collapse. Within Rochester Cathedral Trust, work is underway into applying to a wide range of trusts and foundations for funding, but time is very short and that is why we need to find more donations to help us fill the gap. We’ve had a pledge of £100,000 from a local charity on condition that we raise the outstanding amount by 31st March 2019. We have already raised an additional £52,000 so we need your help to raise the other £88,000. We hope to undertake the work next year and you will be able to see for yourself how this project has played its part in ensuring the survival of this special place and everything it stands for.
