Living with dementia is tough for the family but not least the person themselves. My Mum, 'Our Glad' lived with vascular dementia for 9 years and I'm very proud to say, took every stage in her stride. Since starting our fundraising Mum has now sadly passed away in April 2020.  As Mum’s condition progressed towards the end,  her strength was astounding, overcoming Sepsis and Pneumonia in quick succession, but she could always still muster a beautiful smile for those she loved and loved her. Originally planned for March last  year, our event has now been rescheduled to 18th September 2021, Rock 4 Dementia a night full of live entertainment with 3 live bands in aid of Dementia UK. The funds raised will go towards helping place Admiral Nurses with families to help them through the very complex dementia journey.
