Rod 's 'Back On The Road Again!' The North Coast 500 Scotland

'Back On The Road Again!' The Scotland 500 · 4 July 2021
Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.
I was at my place of work welding a barrel with heating oil in , a moment of lack of concentration
it exploded and all the oil went over me, i was engulfed in flames.
The barrel hit my leg cutting it nearly off, i was taken to Selly Oak hospital by the air ambulance in 12 1/2 minutes as by road it would have taken 2 1/2 hours, i would not be her now if that had been the case.
Three and a half months later i came out not in a good state but
with a lot of help from my wife, family and friends i am here to tell the tale.
THANK YOU AA.
