Challenge 1 - Loch Ness

If you know us, you’ll know we love cycling, so it’s no surprise we’re going to cycle over 500 miles with these three challenges, one very hilly ride, one close to home and one coastal ride!

So, why are we doing this? To raise money for NorthCare - the charity for the Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust, where Estelle is both a patient and a member of staff!!!!

You may know that in 2020, Estelle was diagnosed with a spinal problem that needed surgery to correct it (cue Estelle’s hilarious comments that’s she’s finally had her head screwed on!) and after having the surgery we are now finally back to cycling together!

We wanted to raise money for NorthCare Charity for 2 reasons, 

First to raise money for the spinal surgery team, who took such great care of Estelle in January 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic and

Secondly to raise money to support Northern Care Alliance staff health and well-being. NHS staff have had a tough time over the last 2 years or so and there are both continuing and increasing needs for us to support our staff, beyond what is currently funded.
