We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2014 I was diagnosed with Stage III bowel/colon cancer. After major surgery and six months of chemotherapy I was able to get back to work. I also got back into running (I hadn't done any for 7 years).

Throughout my time in and out of hospital I was working on a plan to run the London Marathon in 2015. This I completed, and in the process raised many thousands of pounds to help those across Europe suffering from bowel cancer.

I have continued to run, and continued to do events to help the charities that support either patients or research into and about bowel cancer.

It is not nice to go through what I went through, and I am grateful I have come out of the other end and am trying to aid others.

This time I plan to run around the east and north-eastern section of the Isle of Anglesey, on 1 September 2017, a total of 35.7 miles (57.2 km) - see http://ringofire.co.uk for full details.

Please support the charity, and think of me on 1 September, and be grateful we are all up and active.
