The Wheelwrights’ Charity supports, amongst other things, education and training in the craft of wheelwrights, mobility for disabled people, especially children and young people; access to sport, educational and recreational activities for disabled people, especially children, young people and disabled ex-servicemen and ex-servicewomen; and City of London charities and causes including the Lord Mayor’s chosen charities each year.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Some background information ,

The Wheelwrights Charity 2020 Appeal was launched to support aspiring athletes with disabilities at grassroots level . The inspiration behind the 2020 Appeal is the fact that the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo coincide with the 350th anniversary of the founding of the Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights .In 2017 the Wheelwright's Charity together with the National Tyre Distributors Association presented a cheque for £15,000 to WheelPower the British Wheelchair Sports charity at Stoke Mandeville Stadium  - the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement. This was the first payment of a 3 year joint  commitment between the Wheelwrights and the NTDA .

Please take time to consider what my own personal  goal is and the inspirational people who will benefit . I have never participated in a cycling event before and what an introduction  - 100 miles in the day !
