Running the London Marathon is rather masochistic, but also a little addictive. Having given my friends a break for two years, I'm afraid I'm back prostrating myself before you for sponsorship. This time I'm supporting Afghanaid - a very worthy international humanitarian and development charity that is aiming to help the people of this war-ravaged country achieve security and the ability to shape their future. Afghanaid has built roads and schools, improved health services and access to education, helped people set up sustainable rural food businesses, and helped women in particular to gain education and influence. Regrettably there is much more to do, but donations that may not buy more than a few Costa coffees here can make life-changing differences out there. Please help.
