As most of you will know each year we organise an off-shore sailing event to raise money for the ever continuing work of the Firefighter's Charity.

This year there are 5 yachts taking part (each with about 6 crew members). We will be sailing from Lymington in Hampshire to Cherbourg just over the Channel - about 80 miles depending on how well we steer!

Last year we raised well in excess of £6000, with your help we would like to beter that total this year.

All the money raised goes straight to the fund. All our costs are met be the people sailing - they enjoy it!

The Challenge for you is to guess how long it will take our yacht to sail the course. Once you've made your donation you can send me a message with your estimate in hours/minutes/seconds of how long it will take us. There is a prize of £25 for the winner
