Kiln Sierra Leone Marathon · 9 June 2012 ·

Street Child's purpose is to see all children safe, in school and learning - especially in low-resource environments and emergencies. We work with an expanding network of local organisations for lasting impact in over 20 of the world’s toughest countries across sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Europe.

Story

I first met Tom Dannatt in 2009 and was hugely impressed with the work his new charity then was doing with street children. I am so delighted that Kiln is in a position now, with your help, to financially support their projects in Sierra Leone. At Kiln we have been fortunate to have enjoyed 50 years of relative stability and prosperity. Not so in Sierra Leone who, 50 years after their independence, are only just emerging from a turbulent and distressing history. Even though the country remains incredibly poor, thanks to the energy of Street Child and other similar organisations working with the young people, there is now hope for the future. Please dig deep and donate now to a really fantastic cause.
