Story

Any funds raised are to be used specifically for the Osprey Project at Rutland Water. As a volunteer for the past 22 years, I have been priveledged to be part of a team that have successfully helped Ospreys to re-establish a population in England after a century and a half.

I set myself the challenge of a full Triathlon (1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run) as I needed to reverse the trend of sitting too much and watching my waistline expand. I was also aware that my 6 year old grandson would soon be running rings round me on the football field and I would be running out of puff far too quickly.
