Rohini climbs a mountain.... · 14 February 2013

Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are. We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.

Story

In July this year, myself and a group of friends are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for the Down's Syndrome Association. Any of you who know me know that I am the person least likely to sacrifice my hair straighteners, make up and spend 7 days sleeping in a tent. However that's exactly what I plan to do!

I am raising money for the Downs Syndrome Association (DSA) this charity is amazing and helps children and adults with Down's syndrome live the happy and rewarding lives they deserve. I have the privilege of having the most amazing brother in the world who also has Down's syndrome and he has bought an unbelievable amount of happiness to my family. By climbing this mountain, I want to help other families who have children with Down's syndrome and show them that with some love and support all their dreams can also come true.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So if you are amused at the thought of me climbing a mountain, sacrificing my make up and hair straighteners for a week then please donate now.

many thanks,
