Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are dedicating our challenge to a very dear friend whose courage, strength and commitment to PEAS we admire.PEAS have gone a long way in raising educational standards currently in Uganda and Zambia by building sustainable schools that provide much needed educational support to children to provide a better future.
The Walking Wounded Team of seven climbers and two support have successfully completed its 3 Peaks Challenge. The walking team accented/descended in total around 11,000 feet of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, respectively, the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, in 14 hours of walking time, in part with very wet, windy conditions, from Thursday evening to Friday evening last week - it was team spirit, the training, the worthy cause and the generous donations, support and encouragement from all our colleagues, friends and families that contributed to this achievement.
Above all, collectively through the direct and indirect participation in this challenge and its outcome, we are about to make a difference to the lives of about 33 children over the next five years of secondary school age in Africa in facilitating a programme of sustainable education that we hope PEAS will deliver to enable a better and brighter future for them - now that is the real challenge. Please visit PEAS our Facebook page here, or www.peas.org.uk to learn more.
