Story

2 and a half years and a global pandemic later, I am finally running the 2022 London Marathon this October, for the wonderful charity that is the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). Each day 250 people start to experience sight loss and thanks to the work of RNIB they are supported step by step during this difficult and unsettling time.

This charity is one close to mine and my families hearts. As many of you may know, both myself and my sister have Stargardts disease, which in simple terms means we have no central vision and are legally blind. We have both experienced first hand the support and work that this charity has to offer and I want to help ensure that this support can continue to be available for those affected with sight loss.

I want to thank you in advance for your donations and hope to see you on the day!

£2000 was raised on my original fundraising page via Virgin Money Giving which was set up 2 years ago, the platform has now closed down, a massive thank you to all those that have donated already!

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
