Roisin's 26.2 Challenge

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
On Sunday 26 April 2020 I would have been running the London Marathon for the fifth time, chasing down a new PB. Instead, while I can't run the 26.2 miles through the iconic London route, I do plan to still run 26.2 miles this weekend.
I will be running the full marathon distance of 26.2 miles over different daily exercise sessions this weekend, in isolation with a nearby mainly unused car park, in order to comply with government guidelines. I will be running the last 26.2km on Sunday morning at 10.00am, the time planned for the marathon.
Please help me ensure all that training didn't go to waste and support our fabulous NHS charities by sponsoring me. I would also like to invite you to do you own 2.6 challenge and do 26.2 or 2.6 of anything you like. The possibilities are endless.

Save the UK's Charities General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
