Story

I am joining a team of 3 ladies to be the first GB team to back country ski with a sled across 100km of the Hardangervidda Plateau in Norway like Ronald Amundsen. This has involved a year and a half of committed training and the challenge it poses is a small reminder of the difficulties day to day of those coping with cancer.

The new cancer treatment centre willbe designed to improve patient experience. The Charity will raise the funds to enhance the services provided by the NHS. By offering a holistic approach to cancer care by co-location of treatments and support in a safe and human environment.Chemotherapy treatment is already given inBasingstoke and Winchester, but patients have to travel to Southampton or Guildford for radiotherapy. This can mean a journey everyday for up to six weeks when patients are feeling unwell and vulnerable.
