During his Masters year, Tony Attard OBE DL will be leading a team of spirited cyclists from St Albans to his beloved home county, Lancashire, to raise vital funds for our charity. Covering about 450km, the challenge will be split into five days.

Story

This September, I will be taking part in The Furniture Makers' Company's Charity Bike Ride from St Albans to Morecambe to raise vital funds for our industry charity.

As someone that has no cycling history or training, this will be a significant challenge. I've done 2 days of clipped-in cycling so far so your sponsorship will be the thing that gets me through my 500km journey, certainly not practice!

The charity has been supporting the welfare of people working in the furniture and furnishing trade since 1903. In addition to providing financial grants and advice to those working in the trade who have fallen on hard times, it also supports the development of young people looking to build a career in the sector. Please donate generously to my fundraising target so I can support their incredible work (and have the motivation to make it through the cycle!).
